Third Level Education Award winner for 2012


We are delighted to announce that this year’s winner is Evan McSharry, son of Padraig McSharry, ESB Networks, Sligo. Congratulations Evan and we wish you every success in your future studies.

Our 2008 winner, Lauren Brady, has just completed her studies and obtained an honours degree in Genetics & Cell Biology. Lauren is hoping to further her studies in the field of cancer research and we wish her continued success.

With the introduction of EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) we are now able to transfer money directly to your bank account - no more waiting for cheques to clear.  The money will be in your account within two working days.

As well as being faster, EFT provides a more secure way of sending money, eliminating the worry of cheques being lost, damaged or going astray in the post.

Important Changes from 1st July 2012


In order to comply with the Criminal Justice Act 2010 the credit union is required to hold on file for our members, proof of ID and current address for the following transactions:

New member applications
All loan applications
Share withdrawals over 1,000 Euro

Acceptable forms of photo ID (will only be required if not already on file):

Valid Passport
Valid Driver’s Licence
